"In our opinion, made by Giuseppe Pellacani of Modena as indicated by the label it bears dated 1958 along with the indication on the label that it is called the "Michelangelo".
The back is formed by two pieces of maple, cut off the quarter, holding narrow flames running very slightly downward from the center joint. The ribs and scroll are of similar wood selection to that of the back. The top is of spruce, two pieces, narrow to medium width grain throughout. The varnish is golden red-brown color over a golden brown ground. "

First Impressions
We stopped here to see about getting an upgraded violin for my son going into HS orchestra. First impressions are valuable and we were impressed! The shop itself is like a European violin shop - it has that small, warm, well kept old world vibe. It belongs on a small, off the main path cobbled street with a coffee shop next door. It even has its own workshop for working on instruments.
