The Shen Willow 3/4 Flatback (SB200 Willow 3/4F) is a thoughtfully crafted hybrid bass built with quality materials and traditional construction.
This 3/4 size instrument features a fully carved spruce top paired with a fully carved willow back. The ribs are constructed from three-layer willow ply, providing strength and structural stability. The bass includes inlaid purfling and is finished with a hand-applied oil varnish that highlights the natural character of the wood.
With a 41.25" string length and a 43 5/8" body length, the instrument offers standard 3/4 proportions suitable for a wide range of players.
The neck is a comfortable maple D profile, fitted with an ebony fingerboard for durability and smooth playability. It is equipped with Suzhou individual tuning machines for precise adjustment. An ebony Hill-style tailpiece complements the setup.
Included is a Shen composite endpin with a 10mm rod and replaceable screw-on tip.
