Chi Lee
Description
Chi Lee joined The Florida Orchestra as associate principal viola in the 2021-2022 season. Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, she came to the United States in 2009. Lee received her bachelor’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music, her master’s degree from Rice University and her doctor of musical arts degree from the University of Maryland.
An avid educator, Lee is a certified Suzuki teacher, and she has taught at institutions including Rice University, Bard Conservatory Preparatory Division and University of Maryland, and has given masterclasses in Taiwan, Winold Music Festival and Eastern Music Festival. Lee is an adjunct professor at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.
